According to the latest reports three malayalies among seven athletes are caught by the National anti doping agency.400 meters stars A.Ashwini, Mandeep Kovr, Sini Jose, Tiana Mary Thomas, Priyanka Pawar, Juana Murmu following long jump stars Harikrishnan Muralidheran are with held from games.
Among this Harikrishnan is been given a 2 year ban from games as he is been caught for the first time by the authorities, rest of them one year ban.
The athletes are repeatedly saying that they have not intentionally taken any of the drugs, it’s been given by the foreign coach Uyuri Ogranodick as per the reports given by the NADA. Coach has given the athletes nutritional supplements; through this the banned drugs have been injected into their body.
The athletes urine samples were collected during the games held in Bangalore in June 11 to 14 are found to be positive. The athletes are among those who helped the country in getting gold medal in relay competitions in Asian games and Commonwealth games.
Sini Jose, Murmu, Harikrishnan, Sonia were caught for using Methadone where as Tiana was caught for using epimethandone.
The athletes need to showcase their fitness records for participating in the upcoming London Olympic Games in June 27th. After the banned period the athletes are subjected to further screening test.
According to the NADA committee the athletes have proven to be positive in the doping tests. The athletes have submitted before NADA that without their awareness they have taken the banned drugs. A mistake done by someone else is been imposed on these athletes. Through the drugs given as food supplements and as vitamin tablets in order to energize the fitness of the stars. They have turned to be the culprit. The main culprit for this is responsibility of the coaches especially the foreign ones.

Not only in the field of athletics are sports persons caught. Latest four football stars Sameer Naik, Clifton Gonsalves (both Dempo), Keita Boubacar and Rowan Pereira (both sporting) were asked to submit their urine samples after the tests. The results have not yet come. Its for the first time the footballers have been tested in this edition of league.
So wait till their results come out……………
